TUCSON 2007

18 Jan 2007

By Robin

The Tucson show is once again nearly upon us with thousands of people making their yearly pilgrimage to Tucson on their quest to find the perfect specimen. Shipments of rocks are arriving as we write from all over the world with their dealers shortly to follow, if not already there - ready and waiting. And excitement is growing amongst collectors as they save their pennies after the festive season, ready to join the throngs in search of their own personal treasure.
And for many, the thought of a few weeks of sunshine and warmer weather to escape the dreary chill of winter means I just can’t wait!!!

Crystal Classics and Kristalle will once again be displaying together at Tucson, bringing you the finest mineral displays in the entire show. We have purchased over 200 Collections in our combined years of business, and 2006 was a great year for us in terms of new acquisitions. There were many top collections including -

Fluorite from Hilton Mine, Scordale, Cumbria, England    Calcite from Stank Mine, Cumbria, England
from the USA:
- The Pellman Collection
- The MaryAnne Shale Collection
 and from Europe:
-    the Wendula Lassere collection (Geneva)
-    the Brian Lloyd collection (England)
-    the Bernard Charlier collection (France)
-    the collection of Gerard Lesage (Chamonix)
-    the Simon Harrison Collection (England)

Fluorite from Rogerley Mine, Weardale, Co. Durham, England     Fluorite from Frazer's Hush Mine, Weardale, Co. Durham, England

Since the Munich show we have acquired several new high quality European Collections, as well as many fine individual pieces. Many specimens have been held back specifically to show at Tucson, and have not yet been seen in the USA – this will be their first showing!!!, They include old classics from The Continent, and outstanding locality pieces. We have a huge inventory of minerals, such that we will be showing completely different stock at each of our exhibitions, so be sure to come and visit us at all three venues!

Beryl   Calcite butterfly twin from Egremont, Cumbria, England   Grossular from Valle d'aosta, Italy
