Bakewell Mineral Show11 Oct 2007 By Robin Crystal Classics will be exhibiting at the 25th Annual Rock Exchange - the
Bakewell mineral show - this weekend! We will exhibit a
great range of Fine British minerals including specimens from the renowned Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences Mineral Collection - with many historical specimens.
Liroconite and Clinoclase from Wheal Unity, St Day, Cornwall, England
This
is the UK's premier mineral and fossil fair, with almost all of
Britain's mineral and fossil dealers exhibiting, plus a few
international dealers as well. The venue is excellent, in a good
location and easy to find, with ample free parking and delicious
refreshments available. We will be located in our usual spot in the
food hall.
Galena pseudomorph after Pyromorphite from Wheal Hope, Perranzabuloe, Cornwall The show is set in the lovely town of Bakewell in the
heart of the Peak District National Park. The whole area is really
beautiful, and if you are able to make a weekend of it, it is worth
doing some sightseeing and visiting the local attractions including
Chatsworth House and the Buxton Museum.
And for those with a sweet tooth, the lure of the genuine Bakewell pudding is an added bonus for this show!!!
Witherite from Alston Moor, Cumbria We hope to see you there!
The show is run by the Peak Lapidary and Mineral Society, for more information, please click on the logo.
