This is the largest mineral show in the world and a big show for us! An estimated 50 000 people flock to Tucson each year to look for minerals, fossils, gems and jewellery, and everything associated with them. The show consists of independent mineral shows of both retail and wholesale, exhibiting at one or several locations, with between 40-50 locations all up across the city. Dealers sell from motel rooms and lobbies, carparks, lawns and marquees, vacant lots and the main convention centre, just to name a few! The show runs for several weeks through January and February and even that is not enough time to see everything.
We have a huge presence at this show exhibiting with our partners Kristalle of Laguna Beach, California in three venues, plus one wholesale location.
The Inn Suites Hotel - 31st Jan to 14th Feb 2009 10am-6pm This is one of the four locations of the Arizona Mineral & Fossil Show, and there are more than 200 dealers that exhibit in just the Innsuites! We are located in Rooms 174-175 at the Inn Suites, PLUS NEW ROOMS for 2009, with a great range of top quality specimens on display in both rooms including new acquisitions, plus rare and used books, and of course superb Gold specimens.

New WHOLESALE LOCATION for 2008
Quality Inn, Benson Highway - Ballroom - 2nd Feb thru 15th Feb - WHOLESALE ONLY!! We just have so much stock, that we need to shift it in order to make room for all our new collections, so every year at Tucson we have a wholesale area where we sell excellent quality minerals at keystone prices, from the many previous collections we have acquired.
In 2008 we are at the new location of the Quality Inn, Benson Highway in the Ballroom (sharing with Dave Bunk Minerals). This year our wholesale area will include many specimens from the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Science Collection, and a good portion of the Clark inventory.
The Westward Look Resort - 6th to 9th Feb 2009 This is a small select show with only the finest minerals for sale. The Tucson Gem & Mineral Society Main Show - 12th to 15th Feb 2009 This show is run by the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, and for most is the final and main show of Tuscon. This is the show that started them all, held annually since 1955. It is held on the second full weekend of February each year in the Tucson Convention Centre, now with an estimated 240 dealers. We have a huge booth at this show - one of the biggest on the main floor. At this show there are fantastic displays from museums from around the world, from prominent private collectors and dealers; as well as competitive displays from both beginners and experienced collectors; and free lectures and seminars.
The theme for 2008 was 'Minerals of the USA' which really was "the show of the Century" with some amazing special displays, and a book!
The 2009 TGMS mineral show will have the theme of "Mineral Oddities" - which certainly promises some interesting and unusual displays!! We look forward to this one!
