This is the largest mineral show in Europe running for more than 40 years with almost 1000 exhibitors from all over the world. There is a special theme each year, 2005 was Agate, 2006 was Masterpieces (all from the mineral collection of the Natural History Museum, Houston, Texas, USA), we look forward to 2007!
This year's theme includes: - 'Precious Stones of the Himalayas' - This exhibit will include the “King of Asia”, a completely
undamaged white tourmaline with a deep red centre, which weighs over 40
kg, and the largest aquamarine crystal in the world. - Pakistani Minerals from the Collection of Herb Obodda, celebrating his 50th year in the business! Congratulations Herb!! - The famous fish fossils from the Monte Bolca, Italy - 'Flying Dinosaurs' From our point of view, this is the best run mineral show anywhere in the world! Spread over three enormous halls in the Messegelande Exhibition Centre, the show is easily accessible and well set out.

Friday is dealers' and professional visitors' day, and Saturday and Sunday are open to the public. The show features the special themed exhibit, museum displays, presentations and activities for the kids. |
One of the great things about the Munich show is the VIP mineral pavilion located in the centre hall. Only quality mineral specimens are exhibited here and some of the best specimens on offer anywhere in the world can be seen.
