New additions to the Crystal Classics family
4 August 2011
We have recently had a few changes to our team here in the Crystal Classics office.
Sadly, Ed has left us, and has returned to University to complete a Masters in Mining Engineering. We wish him all the best with his future career! We had a great farewell party with a 'knees up' at The Wurzels - a famous band from Somerset!
Ed's last day - L to R - Dave Whipp, Ed, Ian, Wayne, Audrey, Robin and Dave Lloyd.
We are pleased to announce that we have two new additions to the team - Steve Rust and Dave Whipp.
Many people may already know Steve Rust - he has had a life long interest in minerals, is a Mindat regular and has published several papers. He has very strong mineral identification skills and is a specialist in rare minerals. Steve has discovered several new minerals, including one named in his honour – Steverustite. Steve has been with Crystal Classics now for a few months, and amongst other duties helps to prepare specimens for updates on the website, and for mineral shows. If you have any questions about the specimens on our website, please contact Steve through our website - by clicking here.
Dave Whipp is our newest member to the team. He grew up with a love of minerals, achieving qualifications in Geology and a Diploma in Gemology, and has been dealing in minerals and gemstones for nearly a decade. He is in charge of European sales, successfully helping customers find the right specimen to add to their collection. If you have any particular wants, please let Dave know by contacting him through our website - by clicking here
We welcome Steve and Dave and they look forward to meeting you at mineral shows soon.
