Spring has arrived in East Coker and our offices are starting to look beautiful again with the arrival of the spring flowers.

Our next show is the Houston fine mineral show were we will premier some of the new specimens from the 6 collections that we have bought in the last 6 weeks. We have a fantastic selection of Tsumeb minerals from two new collections and also the best specimens from one of the best collections of Romanian minerals ever put together. The bulk of the specimens will be ready for the St. Marie show in June where we will have our usual stand in the fine mineral section in the theatre.

Pos packing specimens ready for Houston

We are excited to announce the arrival of the Glyn Cunnick Collection.  A Crystal Classics customer for the last 25 years, Glyn amassed one of the finest and most comprehensive collections of Devonshire and Cornish minerals still in private hands and we have the honour of managing its sale.   The collection is rich in historic mineral specimens from all over the South West of England with a great many classic localities represented and some truly unique mineral specimens.

Over the next few weeks we will prepare the collection ready for unveiling at our summer Open Day.

Speaking of the Open Day, our Summer Open Day is just over 2 months away now and is looking to be another great event with numerous collections to unveil, some still to be announced.  If you’ve not already put your name down to attend, there’s still plenty of time to do so.  Just send us an e-mail to with the names of those planning to attend and we will add you to the guest list. has been running for nearly 3 months, during which time Crystal Classics and Trinity Minerals have posted 13 auction to the date of this news is published, with a rich assortment of fine minerals from all over the world.  During this time, we have had an overwhelmingly positive response to the auctions and we’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported the site so far. 

Over the next few months Der Hammerstein will grow further as we increase the capacity to post specimens.  We are also quietly working on a brand new website that will increase the volume and scope of our auctions.  Look out for more information regarding that in the next few months.

In other news, as part of our continued growth, we are proud to announce that we have two new team members joining us to assist with our growing media requirements. 

Olga joins us as an assistant photographer, bringing with a great deal of experience in photography, both portrait and product.  She is passionate about the art and her enthusiasm and photography knowledge make her a valuable addition to the team.

Holly joins us to assist with both photography and our other media requirements.  She holds a degree in marketing and design and brings a broad skillset to the team, enhancing our in house ability for the post production of images and creation of marketing materials.
