Crystal Classics News!
6 August 2015
It has been a while since we sent out a Crystal Classics newsletter, you could call it a busy year with Diana and I getting married in June and the avalanche of new collections that have come our way.
The newlywed Mr & Mrs Bruce.
In the last few weeks we have purchased three new collections of fantastic minerals;
The Eckart Fromme Collection from Bensheim in Germany which was put together from the 1950's until the late 1980’s. It had been in storage in a cellar for decades and we were very happy to unwrap it and discover the treasures within. There were dozens of fine Hotazel Rhodochrosites of every habit as well as some super Tsumeb and old classic European material.
One of the many fabulous rhodochrosites out of the Fromme collection.
The Witt collection was a super gem mineral collection which specialised in fine display quality gem minerals from all over the world. Some of the Brazilian tourmalines were the real treasures including a wonderful doubly terminated bluecap from Sapo Mine in Brazil.
The Henckert collection is a fabulous Tsumeb collection and one of the best to hit the market in years. It will take a considerable amount of time to process this collection and we will market it over the next months. Mr Henckert is from the famous mining family of Namibia that were involved in the great tourmaline mining episode of the 1980’s. The collection is 100% new to the market and not one specimen has left his hands since he bought them in Tsumeb in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
Wrapping the Henckert collection carefully for the transportation back to the offices of Crystal Classics.
