28 August 2008

It is finally here!!! The new look Crystal Classics website.

We have given our website a complete overhaul to make it easier for you to navigate the site, and search for minerals faster!

New features include:
  • improved 'Latest Minerals added' section so you know instantly what our latest update included.

Latest Minerals Added

  • A Hall of Fame - this is our back room, where we keep only the best minerals - these minerals are not currently for sale on our website, but maybe for sale in our showroom, and in our booth at minerals shows. This page is to give you an idea of the high end top quality minerals that we deal in. If you see one you like, please contact us at any time to find out about them, or to see if we have similar in stock.

  • improved database! so that you can quickly and easily search for minerals by mineral name or location, and also see what other minerals we have available from that location.

  • visible basket - on the left hand side of the screen your basket will be visible so you can see what you currently have reserved.

  • New 'reserved' feature, so that if another customer has reserved a mineral (put it in their basket) a timer tells you how much longer until the mineral is returned to for sale if not purchased.
Reserved for another customer
Lets you know that the specimen is currently reserved and how long for.

  • We also have new features to view the photos of a mineral. Click on the thumbnails on the right hand side to change the main picture.

  • Then click on the main picture to enlarge the main photo.

As this is a brand new site, we still may have bugs to iron out, so please be patient, and let us know if you find anything that doesn't work like it should! It is still a work in progress and a few pages are still under construction but we hope to have them all up and running soon.

We hope you enjoy the new site, please let us know what you think!
