With many more specimens to see in the New Update  HERE...

Over the next couple of months there will be a couple of staff changes at our office.  After seven years of working for Crystal Classics, David Whipp has decided to relocate to the North of England and start a new life with his girlfriend Ruth.   He will be leaving us at the end of May.  He has been a very loyal and hardworking member of staff over these years, both in the office and at mineral shows here in the UK and overseas and he will be greatly missed by Ian, Diana and the rest of the Crystal Classics Team.

Going forward this does now create a job opening for a mineralogist who would like to relocate to Somerset and spend their days working with minerals.  This position requires someone with an extensive worldwide mineral knowledge as well as a very good understanding of all Microsoft computer applications.  There will also be the requirement to travel worldwide throughout the year as required.

We also have a new position within the Crystal Classics Team.  We are looking for a Laboratory assistant to assist Chris in this very busy department.  The daily duties will include cleaning, cataloguing and boxing minerals from our mining projects.  An understanding of all Microsoft computer applications is essential.  A clean driving licence is also required.

Both positions require you to have good communication skills and the ability to work as a team member.

If you are interested in either of the two above position please send your CV to

We continue to push ahead with the work at the Rogerley Mine, in Weardale, Co. Durham, England. With the development of the mine to find more stunning pockets to bring to you superb specimens of fine rich green daylight fluorescent Fluorite crystals.

We are already getting specimens together for our next list of shows.

Our next event for this year will be in the UK; our summer Open Day on the 2 June 2018 10am to 5pm.

Followed by the SAINTE MARIE-AUX-MINES MINERAL SHOW 2018 21 June - 24 June 2018. We hope to see many old and new friends at the show.

And the 43RD GEM AND MINERAL SHOW IN AUE 8 April 2018 run by Katrin and Peter Schlegel in the heart of the Saxony mining region; Erzgebirge, Germany.
