10 January 2019

This weeks update features a very pretty and colourful selection of specimens from various worldwide localities:

  • Beautiful and classic bipyramidal lustrous crystals of Wulfenite measuring to over 1cm are delightfully arranged over bluish-green Malachite from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia
  • A superb crystallised Azurite from the Milpillas mine, Mexico, displaying a brilliant high lustre and fabulous colour, from electric blue to an intense dark royal blue
  • A magnificent, well terminated crystal of Stibnite from the world-famous Ichinokawa mine in Japan, measuring to over 10cm long and with a slight bend. A truly classic specimen
  • An absolutely superb yellow-green Adamite that probably surfaced in the 1970s from the Ojuela mine in Mexico. The stunning botryoidal and lustrous acidic lime-green Adamite mostly fills a cavity in a typical red-brown Goethite rich gossan
  • A remarkable specimen of Cuprite with crystals measuring to 1.5cm, form rich dark maroon-red ribbons that contrast superbly against turquoise-powder-blue Chrysocolla. From the famous Mashamba West mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo
  • Excellent gemmy blue to green intergrown cubic Fluorite crystals measuring to 1.8cm display beautiful colour zoning from the Okorusu mine, Namibia
  • A very fine specimen of rich, deep gemmy pink Roselite crystals, concentrated in two cavities on a pastel pink Dolomite matrix. With crystalline to botryoidal Austinite and minute golden-brown crystals of Cobaltlotharmeyerite from the Aghbar mine, Morocco
