New Fluorite Update 04 September 2020

4 September 2020

The week is nearly over yet again and today is definitely Fluorite Friday here at Crystal Classics. Continuing this week’s theme, Fluorite is always a firm favourite amongst our customers and followers. As always, we have an outstanding selection, chosen carefully to showcase the large range of exciting colours and crystal habits found in Fluorite.

To highlight today’s range we begin with a captivating lemon and purple colour-zoned Fluorite with castellated secondary crystals from Cave-in-Rock, Illinois, USA. Next we have a group of extraordinarily beautiful, gemmy sky-blue cubic Fluorite crystals with stepped bevelled edges in contrasting mauve, grading to pale pink. This quite amazing specimen is from La Collada on the northern coast of Spain. And for our third showstopper we have a bed of razor-sharp cubic crystals from Frohnau in Saxony, the colour of golden syrup and equally mouth-watering!

Amongst today’s other tremendous specimens is a zingy-citrus apple-green Fluorite from West Pasture mine in Weardale, England; a remarkable lime green Fluorite with purple zoned phantom cores from Shannapheasteen in Ireland and a stunning chromium sea-green bed of octahedral Fluorite crystals from Riemvasmaak in Northern Cape Province, South Africa.

As always, please feast your eyes on these incredible natural crystal treasures and hopefully you will spot something to add to your collection.
