A cabinet specimen of twinned Adularia from the famous Medel Valley, Switzerland. The Adularia is seen as a row of three blocky/prismatic crystals to 6.2cm long. The crystals have a transparent outer zone overgrowing translucent white cores. All three crystals show Manebach twinning and are deeply striated on the 001 faces, with smooth 010 faces, and an overall satiny luster. The specimen stands well for display, and also comes with an Academy of Natural Sciences Philadelphia label. Ex. C. S. Bement Collection.
