Aikinite With Guanajuatite

ID: CC4070

This particularly finely developed crystal specimen of acicular metallic grey Aikinite, with Guanajuatite is one for the rare mineral or sulphosalt mineral collector, from the Santa Catarina Mine, Mexico. Crystals of Aikinite are seen richly investing large areas of a drusy Quartz matrix. Very rare platy micro-crystals of Guanajuatite, a Bismuth Selenium Sulphide, are seen closely associated with the Aikinite, and rounded micro-crystals of a what appears to be a Tetrahedrite-Tennantite group mineral. A fine specimen of rare species.
