A very fine and relatively rare specimen of the silver antimonide mineral, Allargentum from the Schlema-Hartenstein District of Saxony, Germany. A 3 x 2 cm grey-green schist-like matrix forms the base of a much larger crystallised specimen of pale white-silvery-golden Allargentum that has developed as a heavy and solid mass covered in a spongy, honeycomb cells and interconnected ridges. A superb example of this uncommon and seldom seen species.
