Very characteristic specimen of Allophane from the small New East Russell Mine, south of Tavistock, Devon. Light blue translucent to colourless and white glassy Allophane, has over grown prismatic crystals of needle Quartz, and over much of the brecciated Slate matrix. On the underside of the specimen are abundant micro-crystals of light brown Childrenite.
