Amber Calcite

ID: CC2027

A single complex growth of honey brown translucent Amber Calcite, with a darker internal phantom, possessing an aesthetic slightly waxy lustre. The crystal measures from 10mm in width at the base to nearly 25mm at its top. The pretty sculptural form and complex multiple terminations may be the result of several generations of growth; it is suggested by the finders that this form is 'stalactitic' ending in proper crystal terminations. A later generation of small scalenohedral crystals measuring to 6mm are scattered over the specimen. A cute miniature specimen that displays well!
