Apatite

ID: CC2849

A little beauty of a miniature specimen of Apatite from the famous Panasqueira Mine, Portugal. The specimen is a group of inter-grown sharp Apatite crystals on a Siderite and Muscovite matrix. The largest Apatite crystal measures to 2.4cm across the pinacoid face by 1cm on the prism. The body colour of the Apatite crystals is a lovely light violet-purple, with a high luster. A smart miniature Apatite from the Panasqueira Mine.
