A rare specimen of a comparatively large Apatite crystal for Great Wheal Vor, Carleen, Cornwall, at one time pumped by a massive 100" cylinder Beam Engine (1854). The single crystal of Apatite measuring to 1.4cm, standing edge on the matrix. Showing opaque creamy pinacoid terminations with a more translucent-gemmy central zone. Crystals of black Cassiterite with Muscovite-Chlorite forms the matrix for the Apatite. Scattered micro-crystals of purple Fluorite are also in association. A neat rare specimen from the mine.
