Apatite Var Francolite

ID: CC2446

An impressive coverage of striated barrel-like crystals of the rare Apatite variety Francolite on a Chalcopyrite, Chlorite and Quartz matrix. The Francolite crystals are pale blue/grey and are translucent with a 'wet look' vitreous lustre. The crystals also appears to be pseudomorphing some other minerals, possibly Chalcopyrite or Fluorite. Sizeable cabinet example and rare.
