A classic specimen of Flos Ferri from the huge Siderite (Iron) mine excavated into the side of the mountain at Styrian Erzberg, Austria. This world beating Iron ore deposit was possibly mined in the 8th century and is envisaged to continue until 2020. The specimen of Flos Ferri has a display face loaded with excellent convoluted snake-like formations of Aragonite measuring to approximately 3.5cm long. A specimen has a lovely snow white colour, and silky to chalky luster. Beautiful!
