Excellent crystals of the Aragonite variety Tarnowitzite from one of the worlds best locations for the variety, at the Tsumeb Mine, Namibia. On the specimen is an impressive crystal of Tarnowitzite measure to 4.4cm long, with several clustered crystal groups as well. Many Aragonite crystals are in parallel position with each other, and have a creamy yellow lustrous colour, with translucent-opaque terminations. The Tarnowitzite crystals have developed over a crystallized druse of gemmy rhombic crystals of Calcite, on a matrix of country rock veined by Calcite. The specimen comes with an ex Harvard University Museum label.
