Arsenocrandallite With Conichalcite

ID: CC3718

Probably one of the great rarities from the Lavrion Mines, and in appreciably large specimens. The single specimen we have from the Wolfgang Wendel collection was probably acquired in the 1990s, and was depicted in Lapis page 65 Vol 7-8, 1999. The very rich specimen has abundant areas of light blue Arsenocrandallite inter grown with minutely botryoidal rich green Conichalcite. Minor areas of blue Azurite are seen around the edges of the specimen. A rare rich specimen of the Crandallite group of minerals.
