Azurite

ID: CC1060

A half geode of crystalline Azurite from the classic type location of Chessy-les-Mines, France. These specimens originally formed in a clay matrix associated with the ore body. The specimen we have displays a radiating structure with the central zone covered in sparkling micro-crystals. The outer surface of the half geode of Azurite still has areas of adhering light grey clay.
