A well formed slightly compressed rosette of crystalline Azurite from the clay deposits associated with the Chessy-les-Mines ore body. The surface of the Azurite ball is covered in interlocking crystals, with a fine azure blue colour and great luster. A great Azurite rosette from the the type locality for the species.
