A rare Azurite specimen from probably Cornwall's most celebrated copper mine, Wheal Gorland, St.Day. Crystal specimens of Azurite are difficult to come by from the south-west mining region. The specimen we have from Wheal Gorland displays areas measuring to 2cm x 1.2cm, with cluster of bladed radial crystals of rich Azurite, with further areas of Azurite on the specimen. Other discreetly associated species are Chrysocolle, Parnauite, Cornwallite on a reddish-brown Quartz Gossan matrix.
