A matrix-less specimen of an Azurite with the appearance of Lips or Zulu warrior shield, from the Malbunka Copper Mine, Austrialia. The Azurite Sun/Shield measures to 6.3cm, with a raised ridge running along the centre of the specimen, and lovely royal blue colour.  This form of Lip Azurite is of rare occurrence from the location, an excellent article can be read in the Rocks & Minerals Nov/Dec 2012 Vol. 87, No.6. magazine issue.
