An fantastic specimen of Azurite on Cuprian Smithsonite from the ultimate mineral producing location of Tsumeb mine, Namibia. The Cuprian Smithsonite beautifully lines the display face of the specimen as a druse of spiky crystals. Aesthetically enhanced by a stellate formation of deep blue bladed crystals of Azurite toward the top of the specimen, the Azurite crystals measuring to 2.2cm. Towards one side of the specimen there is a cavity displaying blocky crystals of Cuprian Smithsonite, which have alternating white to green unusual banding. The matrix is a light coloured mixture of white Cerussite and pastel green Cuprian Smithsonite. A cracker of a specimen from this famous mine.
