Richly coloured sparkling lustrous royal blue crystal inter-groups of Azurite measuring to 1.5 by 1cm on Smithsonite from the Hilarion Mine, Lavrion, Greece. The crystals of Azurite are aggregated and scattered on a druse of translucent white minutely botryoidal to rice grain form crystals of Smithsonite. Other associated minerals are botryoidal green Malachite, and pale green Cuprian Adamite. All the species are on a cavernous light red brown Goethite matrix. Three or four of the Azurite crystals display partial alteration to Malachite.
