Azurite With Malachite on Bayldonite

A brilliant rich specimen of Bayldonite partly overgrown by Malachite and Azurite, from the celebrated Tsumeb Mine, Namibia. Bright yellowish green minutely botryoidal Bayldonite is the 'L' shaped matrix for the other minerals, and constitutes the major species present. The main display faces of the specimen are richly covered in plume-like crystal forms of silky Malachite. Deep royal blue crystals of Azurite have developed on the Bayldonite before the Malachite. A further yellowish undefined mineral is also apparent on the reverse of the specimen pre-dating the Bayldonite. A great colourful mineral specimen form the Tsumeb Mine.
