An excellent display specimen of Baryte from the Iron mining area of Frizington, Cumbria. The specimen has two superb well presented intergrown tabular rhombic crystals of Baryte, a top a Hematite/Dolomite matrix. The specimen also has a number of smaller Baryte crystals around the base of the display crystals. The Baryte is of a pleasing pastel blue to colourless at the crystal terminations. The matrix is of maroon coloured Hematite with scattered crystals of platy Specular Hematite, and creamy/white crystals of Dolomite. A superb display specimen.
