An uncommon specimen of Baryte from Wheal Mary Ann, Menheniot, Cornwall. Although Baryte is recorded in several old publications from the mine, Baryte has never been abundant, therefore few specimens come on to the market. The specimen we have displays inter grown thickly tabular crystals measuring to an average of 2cm, with a lustrous white to tinted yellow colour. Crystals of Baryte are partly over grown by metallic light yellow Pyrite, and colourless Quartz crystals, on classic Wheal Mary Ann yellow cubes of Fluorite.
