The colour is from opaque white to transparent on the crystal edges, with a bright luster reflecting from the many crystal faces. The Baryte has formed on a small plate of light lilac cubic crystals of Fluorite individually to 0.9cm. The underside of the specimen also has a 4cm by 4cm area coated with small crystals of creamy translucent Calcite.
