A sharp tabular diamond shaped crystal of creamy Baryte, measuring to 2.8cm in the longest dimension, from China. The crystal hangs at an angle attached to one side of a prismatic Quartz crystal, at about the Baryte crystal's mid-point. The Baryte displays a faint phantom discernible when held to the light. The underside of the Baryte crystal is partly covered by micro-crystals of the same mineral. The Quartz matrix display as a group of gemmy to translucent prismatic crystals to 4.3cm length from a solid Quartz base. A doubly terminated 1.1cm long Quartz crystal is also attached to the Baryte crystal on one edge. All in all a very interesting and aesthetic specimen which displays well.
