Bladed-prismatic crystals of gemmy to translucent creamy Barytocalcite richly cover the display face of the specimen from the Alston Moor mining area (probably from Blagill Mine). Crystals of Barytocalcite have partly over grown rounded crystal areas of Witherite, with micro-crystals of Dolomite on a grey Limestone matrix. Classic Barytocalcite from the area.
