Beryl Var Aquamarine

A well proportioned specimen of Aquamarine in Feldspar, from the Nagar pegmatite district in Pakistan. The specimen displays an 'L' shaped form with two Aquamarine crystal grown at almost right angles to each other. The main upright crystal is a beautifully formed slender prismatic crystal measuring to 6.3cm tall, with an excellent complex termination. It is partly encased in snow white Feldspar with only the top 1.3cm protruding. The other crystal projects out measuring 2.7cm long; this crystal is almost completely shrouded in Feldspar crystals. The Aquamarine has a pleasing light blue gemmy colouration and luster. The Feldspar crystals are probably Albite and are boat shaped with curved faces. A wonderful aesthetic specimen from Pakistan.
