Bright emerald green elongated crystals of Emerald measuring to 2.5cm, are seen laying on the display face of the specimen, from the Chivor Mine, Colombia. Crystals of Emerald are set in a contrasting white Albite matrix, cutting a grey-brown banded rock. Further Emerald crystal sections are to be seen in veinlets of Albite cutting the rock, with minor Calcite.
