Boracite

ID: CC2265

A specimen displaying lots of gemmy Boracite in well formed orthorhombic pseudo-cubic crystals to 2mm, richly aggregated over the top surface of the specimen. The Boracite has a high luster with wonderful sea green colour. Orange-red micro-crystals of Hilgardite are apparent on one side of the specimen. The specimen came from the Boulby Potash-Salt Mine on the coast at Loftus, North Yorkshire. A fine example of Boracite from this mine.
