Bornite After Chalcocite

ID: CC1374

A fine druse of Chalcocite crystals covers a previous development of larger Chalcocite crystals measuring to 1cm. Both growth phases of Chalcocite have been largely replaced by metallic lustre purple-blue Bornite (horse flesh ore). A neat specimen from the once major mining area of Redruth, Cornwall.
