A sharp well formed crystal of Bournonite sits nestled in a shallow cavity. The Bournonite crystal measures to 0.8cm with strongly beveled edges and light striations. The crystal has a high metallic luster, and grey colour. The Bournonite is associated with brilliant micro-crystals of gemmy ruby Sphalerite, and translucent white Quartz. The matrix is a light yellow-beige Siderite, with the cavity displaying low relief rhombic crystal to 2-3mm. Also on the specimen are scattered crystals of translucent white Calcite. A fine single crystal of Bournonite from this old mining region.
