An interesting example of a 'V' twinned Calcite, from an uncommon location at the Gillfoot Mine, Cumbria. Each of the twinned crystals reach a length of almost 3cm. They grow from nest of slender prismatic crystals to 1.8cm long, beautifully presented. The colour is from light brown to translucent white. The matrix is a thin plate of reddish Hematite.
