A silky lustrous Calcite specimen from Cavnic, Romania. The specimen displays sub-parallel large platy hexagonal form Calcite crystals to 7cm across the broad face. The colour of the Calcite crystals is a creamy white with a delicate silky luster. The matrix is a Quartz base composed of colourless needle crystals to 0.8cm long, with minor brassy micro crystals of Pyrite. A cute display specimen of Calcite.
