An unusual specimen of Calcite from the classic mining area of Pribram, Czech Republic. The Calcite is a combination of two generations - the first growth phase is of lustrous translucent white crystalline habit; followed by a second generation of tan coloured later deposition of Calcite. The second phase of Calcite forms strange steeply pyramidal habits, which are deeply striated and indented (appearing not unlike the deeply furrowed mountains of Hawaii, or Indo-China).
