An attractive specimen of Calcite from the classic German mining area of St. Andreasberg. The Calcite is well developed groups of parallel growth crystals. The crystals displaying colourless gemmy to translucent prism faces passing to a milky white termination.  The Calcite crystals are pleasingly terminated by a flat pinacoid, with triangular appearance, (some are more hexagonal). The crystals also show lines of probable black Mn oxides between them. An excellent specimen of Calcite from the area.
