A fine small cabinet specimen of Calcite from the German mining area of Schlema. The specimen displays two crystals of Calcite measuring to 5.5cm in V formation. Crystals of Calcite show extensive parallel growth on the prism faces, and are double terminated. The crystals are lustrous with a pleasing translucent creamy to white colouration. At least three Sulphides are associated with the Calcite, in the form of bright metallic yellow Chalcopyrite, light metallic yellow Pyrite, and metallic white-yellow Marcasite. The matrix is lustrous white Dolomite, with tan brown Siderite, a mineralogical busy specimen from the location.
