A tower like formation of parallel crystals of Calcite in the nail head habit. The Calcite crystal group measures to a height of 10.3cm. The crystals have a fair lustre and  translucency for the location from the Hilton Mine, Scordale, England.The specimen is likely to have come from the lower levels of the mine associated with Wilsons Level rather than the upper flats. Specks and small areas of Galena are seen included in a zone on the under side of the specimen.
