An excellently proportioned specimen of Calcite from Derbyshire. (It is well nigh impossible to province such specimens from Derbyshire to any greater existence). The specimen we have displays an excellent double terminated scalenohedral crystal, measuring 8.5cm from termination to termination. The double terminated Calcite takes a prominent position atop the specimen with a fine lustre, and pastel yellow central zone. Which passes rapidly to a gemmy colourless towards both terminations. Several other sharply formed crystals of Calcite are also in attendance. A great specimen for the Derbyshire, or Calcite collector. The specimen has been repaired
