Distinctive colourless gemmy crystals of Calcite from the Cornish mine so well known for the mineral, at the Wheal Wrey, St.Ive. Although the mine had a relatively short life it became very well known for the excellent Calcite specimens that were found. The specimen we have displays prismatic crystals measuring to 1.8cm tall rich adorning a white Chalcedony Quartz matrix. The Calcite is associated with tiny crystals of Pyrite. A fine Calcite from Wheal Wrey.
