Calcite

ID: CC4270

Excellent lustrous scalenohedral crystals of classic Derbyshire Calcite. Crystals of Calcite possessing a beautiful light honey gemmy to translucent colour, measuring to 5cm. Several of the crystals are double terminated with tapering form. Calcite crystals have formed on an undulating plate of light purple-colourless Fluorite with some areas of metallic yellow Marcasite and Pyrite. We would have liked to have been more precise with the location, but it would be practically impossible, as the Derbyshire orefield is very much the same all over mineral wise.
