Excellent inter grown translucent white crystals of Calcite from the Parc Mine, Llanrwst, Wales,. The mine closed in 1958 after a long mining history documented from 1855. The specimen we have displays crystals of Calcite on the display face, with micro-crystals of Marcasite included along the edges. Although the mine was only recently closed in U.K. terms specimens from the mine are not common.
