Large spiky looking cabinet specimen of Calcite on Quartz epimorphs after Calcite from the Cavnic mining area in Romania. Lustrous prismatic dome-like terminated crystals of creamy Calcite, measuring to 6mm stand out at all angles from the Quartz matrix. Crystals of Calcite are abundantly formed over white Quartz epimorphs after pre-existing crystals of Calcite. A fine display specimen.
